Turn off all the other devices in the area, and then turn them on one by one to figure out which device is causing the problem. If the touchscreen problem occurs only in certain locations, you’re probably getting electronic interference. To find out if this is the problem, take your Surface to another room, another building, or outdoors. Like large equipment or banks of computers. A nearby power strip or a lamp on your desk could be causing this, or it could be something Other electronic devices nearby can sometimes interfere with the touchscreen or make the cursor on your Surface move around unexpectedly. After your Surface removes the recalibration data, test the touchscreen to see if it responds appropriately. (With a mouse, select Yes, and then follow the on-screen instructions.) You need to check for electromagnetic interference. Press the Tab key until the Yes button is selected, press Enter, and then follow the on-screen instructions. If the Reset button is dimmed, your Surface touch calibration is still at factory settings. Press the Tab key until the Reset button is selected, and then press Enter. (With a mouse, select Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input.) (If you're using a mouse, selectĮnter calibrate, use the arrow keys to highlight Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input, and then press Enter. To find a misplaced pointer by pressing the Ctrl key, under Visibility, select the Show location of pointer when I press the Ctrl key check box.Please remember that you'll need a keyboard or mouse connected to your Surface for you to calibrate your touchscreen. To ensure that the pointer doesn't block your view of the text you're typing, under Visibility, select the Hide pointer while typing check box. 
To make the pointer easier to find when you move it, under Visibility, select the Display pointer trails check box, and then move the slider toward Short or Long to decrease or increase the length of the pointer trail. In some programs, you'll need to move the mouse pointer to the button you want to click.) To speed up the process of selecting a choice when a dialog box appears, under Snap To, select the Automatically move pointer to the default button in a dialog box check box.
To make the pointer work more accurately when you're moving the mouse slowly, under Motion, select the Enhance pointer precision check box. To change the speed at which the mouse pointer moves, under Motion, move the Select a pointer speed slider toward Slow or Fast.
